GET OUT OF MY HOUSE
INT. AMBER'S LIVING ROOM – EVENING
The front door slowly opens. Anthony walks inside with hesitation. His face is filled with guilt and regret. Every step feels heavy because he knows he has deeply hurt Amber. She stands near the window with her arms crossed, refusing to look at him. The room is silent except for the sound of his footsteps.
ANTHONY
Amber... I know you don't want to see me. I understand your anger. I came here only to apologize. I know I made terrible mistakes, and I have been regretting them every single day. Please... give me one chance to explain.
AMBER
Don't say another word. I have already heard enough excuses from you. You had your chances, Anthony. Now they're gone.
Anthony lowers his head. He knows she is right. He takes a deep breath before speaking again.
ANTHONY
You're right. I failed you. I hurt the person I loved the most. I don't expect instant forgiveness. I only want you to know that I'm truly sorry.
AMBER
Sorry? Is that supposed to fix everything? Where were these apologies when I was crying every night? Where were these words when I needed you the most?
Anthony cannot answer immediately. Her words cut deeply into his heart. He realizes every painful memory she carries is because of him.
ANTHONY
I was selfish. I thought you would always stay with me no matter what I did. I was wrong. I understand that now.
AMBER
Get out of my house! This house belongs to me too. You don't get to walk in here whenever you suddenly feel guilty.
Anthony freezes. Those words hit him harder than he expected.
ANTHONY
Please... don't send me away yet. Just let me explain everything.
AMBER
No! I'm done listening. Every promise you made was broken. Every dream we built together was destroyed because of your choices.
Anthony notices their old photographs hanging on the wall. They remind him of happier days when their love seemed unbreakable.
ANTHONY
You never removed our pictures.
AMBER
They're just memories. Nothing more.
Amber quickly turns one of the picture frames face down, trying to hide her emotions.
ANTHONY
Those memories still mean everything to me.
AMBER
Don't come any closer.
Anthony immediately stops walking. He respects her request.
ANTHONY
I don't want to scare you. I only want one chance to prove I've changed.
AMBER
Everyone says they've changed after it's too late.
ANTHONY
Maybe you're right. But I'm willing to spend the rest of my life proving it instead of just saying it.
Anthony slowly removes an envelope from his jacket.
AMBER
What is that?
ANTHONY
These are counseling appointments. I've already started changing my life. No one forced me. I chose to do it because I finally realized how much pain I caused.
Amber looks surprised but refuses to take the envelope.
AMBER
That doesn't erase the past.
ANTHONY
I know. Nothing ever will. But maybe it's the first step toward becoming someone better.
Amber's eyes fill with tears, but she refuses to let them fall.
AMBER
Do you know what hurts the most? I still care about you... and I hate that I do.
ANTHONY
I never stopped loving you, Amber.
AMBER
That's why you need to leave. Every second you're here makes this harder.
Anthony silently places the envelope on the coffee table. His heart is breaking, but he knows forcing her to forgive him will only make things worse.
ANTHONY
If you ever decide to read those letters... you'll know where to find me. I won't pressure you. I just hope someday you'll believe that I really changed.
Anthony slowly walks toward the front door. Every step feels heavier than the last. Before leaving, he turns around one final time.
ANTHONY
I'm truly sorry, Amber. I hope one day you find happiness... even if it's without me.
Anthony quietly leaves the house. The door gently closes behind him. Amber stands completely still. The silence feels louder than any argument.
After several moments, she slowly walks toward the coffee table. With trembling hands, she picks up the envelope. Inside are old photographs, handwritten letters, and counseling receipts. She unfolds one final letter and begins reading it.
ANTHONY (VOICE OVER)
I know I can't erase the past. I don't expect forgiveness. I only hope that someday you'll remember the man I wanted to become instead of the man I used to be.
Amber closes her eyes as tears finally fall down her face. Outside, Anthony stands beside his car and looks back at the house one last time. Neither of them knows if this is the end of their story... or the beginning of a new chapter built on forgiveness and healing.
