Brooke's First Drive Became a Disaster When One Wrong Pedal Crashed Three Luxury Cars and Shocked Everyone Forever
Larry was always a generous person at heart, but today, instead of beating, his heart felt completely frozen in his chest. When he saw Destiny and Brooke getting ready that morning to buy a car, he thought it was going to be a pleasant, ordinary day. Brooke had been wishing for her own car for a long time, and Larry, being a good brother and friend, wanted to give her a wonderful surprise.
In the afternoon, the three of them reached the largest car showroom in the city. The shiny new models gleaming under the showroom lights could captivate anyone. As soon as they entered, Destiny pointed toward a silver sedan parked on one side, while Larry was scanning the features and prices of various vehicles.
Brooke’s eyes shone with a unique excitement. She examined every car closely, running her hand over the door handles before moving on to the next. After spending a couple of hours exploring every corner of the showroom and inspecting a dozen cars, Brooke's eyes finally settled on one spot.
It was a stylish, bright red hatchback. The color was so vibrant that it stood out from everything else in the showroom. Excited, Brooke called out to Destiny, "Look at this! This is the one I want."
Larry looked at the car carefully. The deal was good, and seeing the joy on Brooke’s face, he didn't think twice. He immediately called the showroom manager and asked for the keys to take the red car for a test drive. The manager smiled and handed the key to Larry. Handing the key over to Brooke, Larry said, "Go ahead, you drive, and we'll sit in the back."
Brooke took the driver's seat. Destiny sat next to her in the front passenger seat, while Larry got into the back. Brooke started the engine. The car hummed to life with a soft roar. She needed to drive the car forward a bit inside the showroom before heading out onto the main road, so the space was quite tight.
Suddenly, panic washed over Brooke’s face. She had either turned the steering wheel a bit too much or, due to her height, her feet weren't positioned properly on the pedals. The car suddenly jerked forward with speed.
"Brooke, easy! Hit the brakes!" Larry yelled from the back seat.
That was the exact moment everything went downhill. Brooke panicked. In her confusion, instead of pressing the brake pedal, she slammed her foot down on the accelerator with all her strength!
Vroooom!
The red car lurched forward and surged like a bullet toward the other expensive cars parked inside the showroom. Destiny screamed loudly, "Brooke, stoppppp!"
But it was too late. The red car slammed straight into a black SUV, and the impact sent the SUV spinning into a luxury white sedan parked right beside it. A deafening crash echoed throughout the entire showroom. The sound of shattering glass, crushing metal, and snapping bumpers terrified everyone present. The massive showroom windows rattled from the shockwave.
The moment the car stopped, a terrified Brooke pulled her hands off the steering wheel. The airbags had deployed, and smoke was billowing from the car's hood. Trembling with panic, Destiny opened the door and rushed out, gasping for breath. Brooke sat frozen in the driver's seat, tears streaming down her face, completely in shock.
Larry, who escaped unhurt, quickly got out of the car. When he saw the destruction outside, the ground slipped from under his feet. The front end of the red car was completely crushed. The black SUV and the white sedan were both wrecked beyond recognition.
The showroom manager and staff came running over. The manager’s face was flushed red with anger.
"What on earth have you done?! All three of these are top-tier models!"
Sweat broke out on Larry's forehead. A single minute of carelessness had plunged him into millions in damages. He stared at the destruction and then looked at Brooke, who had stepped out of the car and was now standing in a corner, crying uncontrollably.
Larry's mind was racing with fury and anxiety. He was horrified at the thought that he would not only have to pay for the red car they came to buy, but also cover the massive repair bill for the other two luxury vehicles.
Larry snapped and started yelling at Brooke right in front of everyone.
"Have you lost your mind, Brooke?! Don't you know the difference between the brake and the accelerator?! We came here to buy one car, and you destroyed the whole showroom!"
Brooke sobbed,
"Larry, please... I didn't do it on purpose, I got confused."
Larry roared,
"Confused?! Do you have any idea how much this 'confusion' costs? Where am I going to get the money to pay for all three cars?! Who is going to cover these massive damages?!"
Destiny stepped in to calm Larry down.
"Larry, please calm down! She's already terrified, yelling at her isn't going to fix this."
Larry shouted back,
"Stay out of this, Destiny! Do you even realize how huge this loss is?"
A heavy silence fell over the showroom. Brooke stood crying in the corner, Destiny tried to comfort her, and Larry held his head in his hands—terrified of the overwhelming financial ruin ahead as he apologized to the furious manager.
The bright red car that had brought so much joy just moments ago had now turned into an unforgettable nightmare for all of them.
