Bethany Snaps After Destiny Blasts Loud Music

BETHANY SNAPS AFTER DESTINY BLASTS LOUD MUSIC

INT. BROOKE’S ROOM – AFTERNOON

Brooke’s room feels incomplete now. The missing door makes everything look exposed, awkward, and uncomfortable. Clothes are folded on the bed, makeup products are scattered across the dresser, and the atmosphere inside the house already feels tense. It’s the kind of silence that doesn’t feel peaceful — it feels heavy, like something is waiting to explode.

Then suddenly, the silence is shattered by a loud beat. Music blasts through Brooke’s room so hard that the walls seem to vibrate. The bass pounds through the floor, filling every corner of the hallway outside. Standing in the middle of the room is Destiny, holding her phone in one hand and nodding to the beat with a smug smile on her face. A large speaker sits on Brooke’s dresser, turned up to full volume as if Destiny wants the entire house to hear it.

BROOKE

(looking uneasy)

“Destiny… why do you have it that loud?”

DESTINY

(shrugging with attitude)

“Because I want to. Ain’t nobody about to tell me what I can and can’t do in this house.”

Brooke slowly sits up straighter on the bed, worry written all over her face. She already knows this is not going to end well. Bethany has been stressed for days, and with the whole house already on edge, this feels like the worst possible time for Destiny to start acting reckless.

BROOKE

(trying to keep the peace)

“You know Bethany’s already mad about everything going on. Why would you do this right now?”

DESTINY

(rolling her eyes)

“Because I’m tired of everybody acting like Bethany runs everything. She doesn’t control me.”

Destiny walks over to the speaker and turns the volume up even higher. The beat becomes deafening. Brooke flinches at the sound. A second later, heavy footsteps start stomping down the hallway. The energy in the room changes immediately. Destiny hears them too, but instead of looking nervous, she smirks like this is exactly the reaction she wanted.

BETHANY

(storming into the doorway, furious)

“What in the world is going on in here?!”

Bethany stands in the doorway with anger written across her face. Her eyes go from Destiny to the speaker, then to Brooke, as if she cannot believe this is happening. The music keeps blasting. Destiny doesn’t even move. She simply folds her arms and stares back at Bethany with a look that says she’s ready for whatever comes next.

DESTINY

(coldly)

“We listening to music. What it look like?”

BETHANY

(voice low, trying to stay calm)

“Turn it off.”

DESTINY

(raising an eyebrow)

“Excuse me?”

BETHANY

(firmer this time)

“I said turn it off.”

Brooke quickly gets off the bed and raises her hands, trying to calm the room before things spiral. But the tension is already too thick. Bethany’s patience is hanging by a thread, and Destiny can see it. Instead of backing down, she seems almost energized by it.

BROOKE

(nervous)

“Okay, okay… everybody calm down.”

DESTINY

(defiant)

“No. I’m tired of you always coming in here acting like you can boss everybody around.”

BETHANY

(jaw tightening)

“You’ve got a lot of nerve disrespecting me in this house.”

DESTINY

(leaning forward)

“And you’ve got a lot of nerve thinking I’m scared of you.”

The room goes silent for half a second, but it’s the dangerous kind of silence — the kind that comes right before an explosion. Bethany points directly at the speaker. Her eyes never leave Destiny’s face.

BETHANY

(through clenched teeth)

“I’m telling you one last time. Turn it off.”

Destiny stares at her for a long moment. Then, slowly, almost mockingly, she reaches over and turns the volume up even louder. The bass roars through the room like a challenge. Brooke gasps. Bethany’s face changes instantly. Every bit of patience she had left disappears.

BROOKE

(shocked)

“Destiny!”

Bethany lunges forward, grabs the speaker with both hands, and lifts it off the dresser before anyone can stop her. Destiny rushes forward, eyes wide, but she’s too late.

DESTINY

(yelling)

“Don’t touch my speaker!”

But Bethany is beyond listening. With pure rage in her eyes, she raises the speaker high and slams it down onto the floor with all her strength.

CRASH!

Plastic shatters across the floor. The music cuts off instantly.

The room falls into complete silence. Pieces of the broken speaker scatter across the floor. Destiny freezes in disbelief. Brooke’s mouth drops open. For a moment, nobody says a word. Bethany stands there breathing hard, chest rising and falling, staring down at the shattered speaker as if all the anger she’s been holding inside has finally exploded out of her.

DESTINY

(staring in shock)

“You… you really broke it?”

BETHANY

(breathing heavily)

“I told you to turn it off.”

BROOKE

(rushing between them)

“Stop! Both of y’all, stop right now!”

Brooke places herself between them before Destiny can get any closer. Her hands are shaking. Bethany is still furious, but now there’s something else in her face too — exhaustion, hurt, and frustration. This was never just about the speaker. It was about the constant disrespect, the chaos in the house, the missing door, and the feeling that nobody listens until everything finally explodes.

BETHANY

(voice shaking with anger and pain)

“I have tried to keep myself together in this house. I have tried to stay calm. But I’m tired — tired of the disrespect, tired of the noise, tired of everybody acting like what they do doesn’t affect anyone else.”

DESTINY

(muttering under her breath)

“You still didn’t have to break it.”

BETHANY

(coldly)

“Maybe not. But you didn’t have to push me there either.”

Silence falls over the room again. This time, it feels heavier than before. Destiny looks down at the broken speaker, and the smug attitude she walked in with is gone. Brooke rubs her forehead and sits back down on the bed, completely drained by everything that just happened. Bethany takes one last look around the room before turning toward the hallway.

BETHANY

(stopping at the doorway, without turning back)

“Next time I say stop… don’t test me.”

Bethany walks out of the room, her footsteps fading down the hallway. Brooke and Destiny remain frozen in place, staring at the shattered speaker on the floor. The room feels twice as quiet now that the music is gone. Destiny slowly kneels down and picks up one of the broken pieces, still unable to believe Bethany actually did it.

DESTINY

(quietly, still stunned)

“She really broke it…”

BROOKE

(shaking her head)

“I told you to stop.”

Destiny says nothing. She just stares at the damage in silence, finally understanding that Bethany’s anger had been building long before the music ever started. Brooke leans back on the bed and exhales deeply, looking around the room with tired eyes. The missing door, the broken speaker, the tension between everybody — it all feels like proof that this house is falling apart piece by piece.

FADE OUT.

The music is gone, but the tension Bethany left behind still lingers in every corner of Brooke’s room.
