The Video That Changed the Room
The room became unusually quiet after Brooke finished showing Larry and Bethany the video of Isaiah and Mariah. Brooke had been holding everything inside for far too long, and now the truth was finally sitting in front of everyone.
Larry had already answered Brooke's questions about Isaiah and Mariah. He had explained what he knew and tried to help Brooke understand that sometimes people make painful choices that cannot be undone. But Brooke was not satisfied.
She still wanted to confront Isaiah herself. She needed to hear his explanation directly, even if the truth hurt more than anything she had already discovered.
“Dad, I Loved Him”
Brooke's eyes filled with emotion. Her voice became quieter as she looked directly at Larry. For the first time, she stopped trying to hide how deeply Isaiah's actions had affected her.
Larry froze.
Those words hit him harder than the video itself. He had known Brooke was upset, but he had not realized how deeply she had been emotionally connected to Isaiah.
Larry's expression changed from confusion to genuine concern. He was shocked that Brooke had carried something this serious without telling him.
Larry Turns Toward Bethany
Larry slowly turned toward Bethany. His frustration was obvious, but beneath his anger was a father's fear that Brooke had been dealing with something painful without the support she needed.
Bethany hesitated before answering. She knew there was no point hiding the truth anymore.
Larry's eyes widened.
He could hardly believe what he had just heard. His voice became sharper as he struggled to understand why Bethany had kept such an important secret from him.
Bethany Tries to Explain
Bethany immediately tried to explain herself. She told Larry that she had not wanted to make Brooke's situation worse and believed there were things Brooke needed to process in her own time.
But Larry was not convinced.
He felt that keeping the truth from him had prevented him from protecting and supporting Brooke when she needed her family the most.
Brooke stood nearby, watching the argument unfold. She looked emotionally exhausted. Part of her wanted Larry and Bethany to stop fighting, but another part of her was relieved that the truth was finally coming into the open.
Larry Makes Brooke a Promise
After a tense silence, Larry turned back toward Brooke. His anger disappeared from his voice, replaced by the calm but serious tone of a father trying to protect his daughter.
Brooke listened carefully.
For the first time that evening, she felt that someone was willing to confront Isaiah and demand real answers. Larry did not want rumors, assumptions, or videos to be the final word.
One Final Warning
Larry continued speaking firmly. He knew Brooke still had strong feelings for Isaiah, and he was worried that confronting him might reopen wounds she had barely begun to deal with.
Brooke looked down. She knew her father was right about one thing: continuing to chase Isaiah might keep her trapped in the same painful situation.
But deep inside, Brooke still had unanswered questions.
If Isaiah truly cared about her, why had he done this? Why was Mariah involved? And why had so many people known pieces of the story before Brooke discovered the truth herself?
The Question Isaiah Wasn't Ready For
Larry picked up his phone and stepped away from the others. Brooke watched him carefully. She realized he was not simply threatening to confront Isaiah—he was actually preparing to call him.
The atmosphere suddenly became tense again.
Bethany remained silent, knowing Larry was still angry with her. Brooke stood frozen, waiting to see what would happen next.
Larry's expression suddenly changed after hearing Isaiah's first words.
Whatever Isaiah had just said was clearly not the answer anyone in the room expected—and Brooke immediately realized that the truth about Mariah might be even more complicated than the video revealed.
