1. A Secret Outside the House
The afternoon was unusually quiet when Bethany stepped outside the house and noticed Hope and Faith waiting near the walkway. The twins exchanged nervous glances before approaching her.
“Bethany, we need to tell you something,” Hope whispered. “But please don't tell anyone that we told you.”
Bethany immediately became serious. “What happened?”
Faith looked around before answering. “It's about Brooke. We heard something from Isaiah, and we think you need to know.”
The words instantly changed Bethany's expression. She had already noticed Brooke becoming increasingly emotional, secretive, and difficult to understand. Now she wondered whether there was something happening behind the scenes that nobody had told her about.
2. The Twins Reveal What They Heard
Hope and Faith carefully explained what they claimed Isaiah had told them. According to the twins, Brooke and Isaiah's relationship had become much more serious and intimate than the family realized.
Bethany listened without interrupting. The more details she heard, the more concerned she became.
“Are you absolutely certain this is what Isaiah said?” she asked.
Hope nodded, but Faith hesitated for a moment.
“That's what we heard,” Faith replied. “But we don't know everything. That's why we thought you should find out before something gets worse.”
Bethany took a deep breath. She knew rumors could destroy a family, but she also couldn't ignore Brooke's recent behavior.
3. Bethany Connects the Pieces
Later, Bethany found Larry and asked him to sit down. Her voice was calm, but her expression showed how seriously she was taking the situation.
“Larry, I think Brooke may be dealing with something we don't understand,” she said.
Larry looked confused. “What are you talking about?”
Bethany explained what Hope and Faith had told her and suggested that Brooke's relationship with Isaiah might be connected to her recent emotional and increasingly out-of-control behavior.
Larry was stunned. For several seconds, he said nothing.
“Are you telling me Brooke has been hiding something this serious from us?” he finally asked.
“I'm saying we don't know the truth yet,” Bethany replied. “And that's exactly why you cannot confront her while you're angry.”
4. Larry Begins to Doubt Everything
After the conversation ended, Larry walked away and sat alone. His mind was racing.
He remembered Brooke's recent mood changes, her secrecy, and the arguments that seemed to appear without warning. Suddenly, small moments that had once seemed insignificant began to feel important.
But another thought troubled him.
What if Hope and Faith were lying?
What if they were angry with Brooke and simply wanted to make her look bad?
Larry rubbed his forehead and stared at the floor. He didn't want to accuse his daughter based on rumors. At the same time, he couldn't ignore something that might explain why Brooke had been acting so differently.

Larry eventually returned to Bethany. His anger had disappeared, replaced by uncertainty.
“Bethany,” he said quietly, “are you sure the twins are telling the truth?”
Bethany looked at him carefully.
“What if they're lying?” Larry continued. “What if they're only trying to make Brooke look bad?”
Bethany didn't immediately answer. She understood exactly what he was saying.
“That's possible,” she admitted. “But it's also possible that they're telling us something important.”
Larry nodded slowly.
“So what do we do?” he asked.
Bethany's answer was firm. “We find out the truth before we make accusations, before we punish anyone, and before this family tears itself apart.”
6. The Question Nobody Could Answer
Larry sat quietly after hearing Bethany's words. For the first time, he realized that confronting Brooke without knowing the facts could make everything worse.
But one question continued to haunt him:
Why would Isaiah tell Hope and Faith such a secret if it wasn't true?
And if the twins really were telling the truth, why had Brooke been hiding so much from her family?
Bethany looked toward the house, where Brooke was somewhere inside, completely unaware of the conversation taking place.
Larry slowly stood.
“We need answers,” he said.
But before either of them could take another step, Larry's phone suddenly began to ring.
He looked at the screen—and his expression immediately changed.
The caller was Isaiah.
Neither Larry nor Bethany said a word.
Larry stared at the phone, wondering whether answering it would finally reveal the truth—or open a secret far more shocking than anything the twins had told them.
