1. Brooke Makes the Call
Brooke picked up her phone and called Isaiah, hoping that the conversation would remain calm. She knew there had already been tension between Isaiah, Larry, and the rest of the family, but she still believed that tomorrow’s fish fry could give everyone a chance to put their differences aside.
“Isaiah, Larry wants you to come by tomorrow for the fish fry,” Brooke explained.
Isaiah paused for a moment before agreeing. He knew that accepting the invitation could be uncomfortable, but he did not want to create another problem between the families.
The following day, Isaiah arrived at Larry’s house with his father. At first, everything appeared normal. But the peaceful atmosphere would not last long.
2. Larry Starts Asking Questions
Once Isaiah and his father entered the house, Larry welcomed them, but his attention quickly turned toward Isaiah.
Larry had something on his mind.
He wanted to know what happened after Brooke left his house. More importantly, he wanted to know exactly where Brooke had stayed.
“Isaiah, where did Brooke stay after she left?” Larry asked directly.
Isaiah looked uncomfortable. He knew the question was coming, but he also knew that Brooke's private situation had already caused enough conflict.
Isaiah’s father stood nearby, quietly watching the conversation. He said nothing at first. His eyes moved between Larry and his son, carefully observing every question Larry asked.
3. Isaiah’s Father Finally Speaks
Larry continued pressing Isaiah for answers.
“I need to know what happened,” Larry said. “I’m asking you because you were around her. You know where she stayed.”
Isaiah finally began to speak.
“Dad, I know where Brooke stayed—”
Before Isaiah could finish, his father firmly grabbed his hand.
“Keep quiet,” he told his son.
Isaiah immediately stopped talking.
Larry stared at Isaiah’s father in disbelief.
“Why are you stopping him?” Larry demanded. “Let him answer me. I’m asking him a simple question.”
Isaiah’s father slowly turned toward Larry.
His expression had completely changed.
“No,” he said firmly. “You need to stop questioning my son like he’s responsible for explaining everything Brooke does.”
4. “Ask Your Own Daughter!”
The room suddenly became tense.
Isaiah’s father took another step toward Larry.
“Why are you investigating my son?” he asked angrily. “Why don't you ask your own daughter where she stayed? Brooke can tell you exactly what happened.”
Larry’s frustration grew.
“I’m her father,” Larry snapped. “I have every right to understand what happened to her.”
“Then talk to Brooke!” Isaiah’s father fired back. “Don't put all the responsibility on my son.”
Isaiah stood between them, watching the argument grow more intense by the second.
He knew this conversation was heading somewhere dangerous.
5. “Stay Away From My Son!”
Larry refused to back down.
“Let Isaiah tell me the truth,” he demanded. “You don't get to decide what he can and cannot say.”
Isaiah’s father immediately stepped closer.
“Stay away from my son!” he shouted.
The words echoed through the room.
Larry’s face hardened.
For several seconds, neither man moved.
Isaiah looked from his father to Larry, realizing that the situation had gone far beyond a simple conversation about Brooke.
6. Larry Loses His Temper
Suddenly, Larry lost control of his temper.
He grabbed Isaiah’s father by the collar of his upper clothing during the heated confrontation.
“Don't tell me what I can ask!” Larry shouted.
Isaiah immediately rushed between the two men.
“Stop! Both of you!” Isaiah yelled.
He pushed himself between them, desperately trying to separate his father from Larry before the argument became physical.
Isaiah’s father remained furious, while Larry continued breathing heavily.
The entire room had fallen silent.
What had started as an ordinary invitation to a fish fry had suddenly turned into a confrontation that could permanently damage the relationship between the two families.
7. But What Is Larry Really Trying to Find Out?
Isaiah finally managed to separate the two men, but the tension remained thick in the room.
Larry stared at Isaiah, clearly believing that there was more to Brooke’s story than he had been told.
Isaiah’s father stood protectively beside his son, making it clear that he would not allow Larry to pressure him into revealing anything.
But Larry wasn't satisfied.
If Isaiah truly knew where Brooke had stayed, why was his father so determined to keep him silent?
And more importantly, what exactly happened during the time Brooke was away from Larry’s house?
As Isaiah and his father prepared to leave, Larry noticed something that made him stop dead in his tracks—and what he saw could finally reveal where Brooke had been hiding all along...
