A Dramatic Office Story
Kedrick’s Breaking Point
A license hearing turns into a shocking confrontation when Kedrick arrives unprepared—and lets his anger take control.
Kedrick’s legal career was hanging by a thread. Natasha had filed a formal complaint against him and asked that his law license be revoked. Now, he had one important opportunity to defend himself before Officer LaDonna. Instead of preparing for the meeting, however, Kedrick made a decision that would put everything at even greater risk.
1. The Notice That Changed Everything
A notice had been sent to Kedrick explaining that he must appear at LaDonna’s office and respond to the allegations against him. He was expected to provide a clear explanation and supporting evidence showing why his license should remain active. The complaint was serious, and the meeting could have major consequences for his future.
Natasha stood by her complaint, while her sister, Dawn, had also supported the accusations. Kedrick insisted that both women were lying, but insisting on his innocence would not be enough. He needed to answer the concerns with facts and credible evidence.
Despite the stakes, Kedrick arrived at the office visibly intoxicated. His steps were unsteady, his words ran together, and he struggled to focus. He seemed to believe that simply showing up and denying everything would make the complaint disappear.
2. LaDonna Sees the Problem
LaDonna was reviewing the case file when Kedrick entered. She looked up and immediately noticed that something was wrong. His condition made it difficult for him to follow the conversation, let alone present a careful defense in a serious professional matter.
Kedrick dropped into a chair and waved a hand dismissively. “I know exactly why I’m here. I did nothing wrong! Natasha is lying because she wants to destroy my career. I’m a good lawyer, and I know how to do my job.”
LaDonna kept her voice calm. “If you believe the complaint is false, you need to provide evidence. Repeating that Natasha is lying does not answer the allegations. You were given notice so you could prepare, but you have arrived in no condition to explain your position clearly.”
3. Kedrick Blames Natasha and Dawn
Rather than listen, Kedrick became more defensive. He began speaking over LaDonna, insisting that Natasha and Dawn had joined forces against him.
LaDonna reminded him that the process was not about choosing sides. The complaint had to be reviewed, and his response needed to be supported by relevant information. His anger and accusations were not helping his case.
“You were given an opportunity to defend yourself,” she told him. “Your behavior today is making this situation worse. If you cannot provide an adequate response and supporting evidence, I may recommend that your license be revoked.”
4. The Warning That Pushes Him Over the Edge
Those words struck Kedrick like a personal attack. He stood up abruptly, his face tense with anger. He could not accept the possibility that years of work might be put in jeopardy. Instead of stepping back and calming down, he began arguing louder.
“You can’t take my license away!” he shouted. “Do you know how hard I worked to get where I am? You’re going to ruin my life because Natasha made a complaint?”
LaDonna remained firm. “This is a formal matter, Kedrick. You need to control yourself and follow the process. I am telling you that your license could be revoked. Sit down and put an end to this behavior.”
But Kedrick was no longer listening. In his intoxicated and angry state, he turned toward the desk and grabbed the laptop lying on it.
5. The Office Turns Chaotic
LaDonna immediately recognized the danger. “Kedrick, put that down! What are you doing?” she warned, pushing back from the desk.
Kedrick ignored her warning and swung the laptop, striking her on the head. LaDonna cried out and recoiled in pain, stunned by the sudden attack. The room, which had been the setting for a formal review, became a scene of panic.
For a moment, Kedrick stood there, seemingly unable to grasp the seriousness of what he had done. The complaint about his professional conduct was no longer the only issue facing him. His violent outburst had created an entirely new and potentially serious situation.
6. LaDonna Calls the Police
Although injured, LaDonna focused on getting help. She reached for her phone and called the police, explaining that she had been attacked in her office and needed assistance. She reported that Kedrick had arrived intoxicated and struck her with a laptop during the confrontation.
Kedrick continued muttering that Natasha and Dawn had caused all his problems. But blaming them could not undo what had happened in LaDonna’s office. His choices during the meeting had turned a professional hearing into a police matter.
Now Kedrick faced the original complaint, the possibility of losing his law license, and the consequences of the alleged assault on LaDonna. The authorities would need to investigate the incident, while the licensing matter would have to proceed through the appropriate process.
The story ends with one question: Will Kedrick finally accept responsibility for his actions, or will he continue blaming Natasha and Dawn? His career was already at risk—but after what happened in LaDonna’s office, his problems may be far from over.
