Bethany's Shocking Discovery
The house was unusually quiet that evening. After a long day, Bethany finally returned home, expecting nothing more than a peaceful night. She unlocked the front door and stepped inside, placing her purse on the table.
At first, everything seemed normal.
"Larry?" she called out.
No answer.
She walked through the living room and toward the hallway. A strange feeling settled in her stomach. The silence felt different, almost suspicious.
"Larry, are you here?" she called again.
Still no response.
Bethany slowly made her way toward the bedroom. As she reached the door, she pushed it open and froze.
There, lying asleep on the bed, were Larry and Lynette.
For a moment, Bethany couldn't believe what she was seeing.
Her heart sank. Her face turned red with anger.
"What is this?" she shouted.
The sound of her voice instantly woke both Larry and Lynette.
Larry sat up quickly.
"Bethany, wait!" he said.
Lynette looked shocked and confused.
Bethany crossed her arms and stared at them.
"Don't even start," she snapped. "I can't believe this!"
Larry climbed out of bed.
"Bethany, please let me explain."
"No! I am tired of explanations."
The tension in the room became overwhelming.
Bethany felt hurt, betrayed, and disappointed. She had trusted Larry for a long time, and now she felt like that trust had been shattered.
Larry's eyes widened.
"What?"
"I've already made my decision," Bethany replied.
"I got my own apartment."
The room instantly became silent.
Larry couldn't believe what he was hearing.
"Please don't leave," he begged.
"You've had plenty of chances," Bethany said.
Tears formed in her eyes, but she refused to let them fall.
"I deserve happiness too."
Before leaving, she turned around one last time.
"Goodbye, Larry."
But she was already walking away.
Larry stood frozen in the doorway, watching her disappear into the night.
For the first time, he realized that some mistakes can change everything.
As Bethany drove toward her new apartment and a new chapter of her life, she knew one thing for certain:
