Nab) Bethany sees the room decorated for Lynette and, in a fit of rage, sets it on fire. When Larry finds out, he is furious. What will happen next?

The Fire of Jealousy
THE FIRE OF JEALOUSY
INT. LARRY'S HOUSE – EVENING
Bethany returns home after a long day. As she walks through the hallway, she notices rose petals scattered across the floor. Confused but curious, she follows the trail toward the bedroom.
Soft romantic music fills the air. Bethany slowly opens the bedroom door and freezes in surprise.
The room is beautifully decorated with flowers, candles, and elegant lights. A luxurious new bed sits in the center of the room. Everything looks perfect.
For a brief moment, Bethany smiles. Then her eyes move toward a glowing sign hanging above the bed.
Her smile instantly disappears.
The sign reads: WELCOME LYNETTE
BETHANY
Lynette? What is this?
She steps closer and reads the sign again. Her breathing becomes heavier. Her hands begin shaking with anger.
BETHANY
Why does it say Lynette? Why not my name?
The beautiful decorations that once looked romantic now feel like a personal insult. Bethany feels betrayed and replaced.
BETHANY
After everything I've done, this room is for her?
Tears fill her eyes. However, sadness quickly transforms into rage.
Bethany grabs a flower arrangement and throws it across the room. It crashes against the wall and falls apart.
BETHANY
You chose her over me!
Her eyes land on a lighter sitting beside one of the candles.
For several moments she stares at it. Her emotions completely take control.
BETHANY
If I can't have this room, nobody will.
She picks up the lighter and ignites a flame.
Without thinking, she touches the flame to a decorative curtain.
Within seconds, the fabric catches fire.
The flames begin spreading rapidly across the room. The curtains burn first, followed by flowers, decorations, and eventually the new bed.
Smoke fills the room.
The romantic atmosphere turns into complete chaos.
BETHANY
Oh no... what have I done?
Reality suddenly hits her. She rushes out of the room as the fire grows larger.
EXT. HOUSE – NIGHT
Neighbors gather outside. Several people call emergency services while watching flames pour from the bedroom window.
Bethany stands outside in shock. The anger that once consumed her has now been replaced by fear and regret.
A few minutes later, a car pulls into the driveway.
Larry jumps out and immediately notices the fire trucks and flashing lights.
LARRY
What happened? What happened to my house?
He runs toward the crowd and suddenly spots Bethany standing nearby.
LARRY
Bethany! Are you okay?
Bethany lowers her head and refuses to make eye contact.
LARRY
Tell me what happened!
Tears begin rolling down Bethany's cheeks.
BETHANY
I started the fire.
Larry freezes in disbelief.
LARRY
You did what?
BETHANY
I saw the room. I saw Lynette's name. I got angry.
Larry stares at her, completely shocked.
LARRY
You burned the room because of a sign?
BETHANY
I felt replaced. I wasn't thinking.
Larry turns toward the burning house and shakes his head.
LARRY
Do you understand what you've done? Someone could have been hurt.
Bethany remains silent.
LARRY
You put lives in danger because of your anger.
BETHANY
I'm sorry, Larry.
LARRY
Sorry doesn't erase what happened.
Firefighters continue working as smoke rises into the night sky.
The beautiful room is now completely destroyed.
FINAL MOMENT
Bethany stares at the ruins of the bedroom. The flames may be gone, but the damage remains.
She realizes that one moment of uncontrolled jealousy has changed everything.
BETHANY
Will you ever forgive me?
LARRY
I don't know. Trust takes time to rebuild.
Bethany lowers her head as tears roll down her face.
The future of their relationship remains uncertain as emergency lights flash in the darkness.
FADE OUT.
