She turns toward the glass. The city no longer feels personal.
FINAL SILENCE OVER CHICAGO
The skyline glows endlessly outside, indifferent to heartbreaks inside its towers.
DUCHESS: People don’t stay where they’re ignored.
DUCHESS: I built peace without you… and I won’t let it collapse now.
The light in the apartment fades slowly as Duchess turns away from the window for the last time…
Somewhere in the distance, Chicago keeps breathing — but her chapter in it feels complete… or almost.
