SCENE 1 – INT. BROOKE'S BEDROOM – EARLY EVENING

Soft evening sunlight fills Brooke's bedroom. She sits on the edge of her bed holding her phone tightly.

BROOKE

Isaiah, please... don't come over. I need some space right now.

ISAIAH (ON PHONE)

Are you sure? I don't want us to leave things like this.

BROOKE

I'm asking you to respect my decision. Please don't come.

Brooke ends the call, believing Isaiah will honor her request.

SCENE 2 – INT. LARRY'S LIVING ROOM

Isaiah tells Larry about Brooke's request.

LARRY

She's probably just upset. Go talk to her face to face.

ISAIAH

But she clearly told me not to come.

LARRY

If you really care about her, don't give up. Go see her.

After thinking for several moments, Isaiah decides to visit Brooke.

SCENE 3 – EXT. BROOKE'S HOUSE – NIGHT

Isaiah rings the doorbell. Brooke opens the door and immediately looks shocked.

BROOKE

What are you doing here? I told you not to come.

ISAIAH

I only wanted to talk. Larry thought—

BROOKE

I don't care what Larry thought. You ignored what I asked.

An uncomfortable silence fills the night.

Ending Narration

Love is not only about showing up when someone is hurting. Sometimes the greatest act of love is respecting their wishes, listening carefully, and giving them the space they ask for.

Isaiah believed he was doing the right thing, but Brooke felt unheard. One decision was enough to create distance between two people who deeply cared about each other.
