Anthony's Unexpected Visitors

The darkness of the night was deepening when Anthony returned to his apartment after leaving D'Nisha’s house. The fatigue of the entire day, mental strain, and waves of anger were still swirling violently in his mind. He had barely unlocked his front door and tossed his keys onto the table when a heavy, aggressive knock resounded at the door.

Anthony let out an annoyed, deep sigh and went to open it. The moment he saw who was standing outside, his nostrils flared with rage. Standing before him were Shayla and Amber.

Shayla's Desperate Apology

Signs of fear and deep regret were clearly visible on Shayla’s face. Just a short while ago at D'Nisha’s house, Shayla had humiliated Anthony terribly, and now the weight of her actions was crashing down on her. She feared that Anthony wouldn't let such a public insult slide and that the consequences would be severe. Driven by this anxiety, she had come to his doorstep to apologize.

Shayla had thought it wise not to come alone. She brought Amber along, assuming that as Anthony’s old friend, Amber’s intercession would help cool his temper and persuade him to forgive her. What Shayla remained completely unaware of, however, was that the bond between Amber and Anthony had already shattered. Their friendship, communication, and mutual trust had ended long ago—they had reached a point of no return.

"Anthony... please, just hear me out," Shayla began, her voice trembling slightly. "Whatever I said at D'Nisha’s house was a huge misunderstanding. I’m here to apologize to you. Look, I brought Amber with me, and she also wanted to—"

Anthony's Explosive Anger

Before Amber could even part her lips to speak, a fiery rage ignited in Anthony’s eyes. His patience snapped completely. The humiliation at D'Nisha’s place, Amber’s past betrayal, and now the absolute nerve of both of them showing up at his sanctuary—it was all too much to stomach.

"Shut up!" Anthony’s command roared through the hallway, echoing off the walls. "How dare either of you set foot near my home?"

"Anthony, at least for Amber's sake..." Shayla stammered.

"Amber?" Anthony let out a cold, venomous laugh. "You brought someone I cut ties with to plead your case? You both are the exact same to me—garbage!"

The Fall Down the Stairs

Before either Amber or Shayla could utter another word of defense, Anthony stepped forward. In one swift movement, he grabbed Shayla by the arm and shoved her back. Amber reached out to stop him, but without a second thought, Anthony seized them both and forcibly hurled them out of the doorway toward the landing.

"Ah!" Shayla screamed.

Standing right at the top of the stairwell, both women lost their balance. They stumbled backward and went tumbling down the flight of stairs. Groans of pain filled the air as they hit the bottom. Their clothes were covered in dust, and their knees were badly scraped and bruised.

Anthony stood at the top of the stairs, staring down at them with absolute contempt.

"Listen to me, both of you! If you ever show your faces around my house again or try to crawl back into my life, the consequences will be a hundred times worse. Get the hell out of here!"

Terrified, Amber and Shayla looked up at him. They realized there was no room left for negotiation. Wincing in pain, they scrambled to their feet and fled into the night as fast as they could.

D'Nisha's Silent Victory

Anthony took a slow, heavy breath and turned around.

A short distance away, standing quietly in the shadowy dim light of the hallway, was D'Nisha. She had followed Anthony home and had witnessed the entire scene unfold from start to finish.

A triumphant, subtle smile played on her lips. Shayla’s arrogance had been thoroughly crushed into the dirt, and Amber’s standing in Anthony’s eyes had been reduced to absolute zero. The immense satisfaction and relief D'Nisha felt in that moment was clearly reflected in her eyes.

Anthony simply nodded at her, and D'Nisha’s smile grew even deeper. That night, old debts were settled, and new boundaries were permanently drawn.
