The Argument in the Parking Lot
The parking lot had been unusually quiet, but the tension between Brooke and Isaiah was impossible to ignore. They stood several feet apart, staring at each other as emotions continued to rise. Brooke's eyes were filled with hurt, disappointment, and disbelief.
Isaiah tried to calm the situation, but Brooke was no longer interested in hearing another explanation. She had spent too much time carrying the pain inside, and now everything was finally coming out.
Her voice trembled as she looked directly at him.
“You Were My First Love”
Brooke took a deep breath, fighting back tears. Then she finally said the words she had been holding onto for far too long.
Isaiah immediately opened his mouth to respond. He wanted to explain what had happened and tell Brooke that she was misunderstanding part of the situation.
But Brooke wasn't willing to listen.
Before Isaiah could finish even one sentence, Brooke suddenly slapped him across the face.
Isaiah stood frozen. The sound of the slap seemed to echo through the parking lot. Brooke quickly turned away, overwhelmed by everything she was feeling.
Kyra Witnesses Everything
Isaiah didn't realize that his mother, Kyra, had been standing nearby. She had witnessed the confrontation from beginning to end.
Kyra was shocked. She looked at Brooke, then at her son, trying to understand what had caused the argument to become so intense.
Once Brooke walked away, Kyra immediately approached Isaiah.
Isaiah looked uncomfortable. He knew his mother deserved an honest answer, but he wasn't ready to tell her the entire story.
Isaiah Hides the Truth
Instead of explaining everything, Isaiah gave his mother only part of the story. His words made Kyra even more confused.
Kyra's expression immediately changed.
She stared at her son as if she couldn't believe what she had just heard. Her disappointment was deeper than anger. She began wondering where she had gone wrong as a mother.
Isaiah lowered his eyes. For the first time, he could see how deeply his words had affected his mother.
Kyra Blames Herself
Kyra became overwhelmed by guilt and shame. She kept thinking that somehow she had failed Isaiah, even though his choices were his own responsibility.
Her emotions became too intense. In a moment of distress, Kyra began hurting herself.
Isaiah immediately panicked.
Isaiah moved toward her and gently tried to restrain her hands, desperately attempting to keep her safe.
Kyra continued crying, struggling to control her emotions. Isaiah realized that this situation had become much bigger than his argument with Brooke.
A Mother’s Question
Eventually, Kyra looked at Isaiah through her tears.
Isaiah went silent.
He had already avoided telling his mother the full story once. But now he understood that hiding the truth was only making everything worse.
Kyra waited for an answer. Isaiah looked toward the direction Brooke had walked, then back at his mother.
His face revealed that there was something much more serious he had not told anyone.
The Secret Isaiah Has Been Hiding
Isaiah finally took a breath, preparing to speak. Kyra watched him carefully, knowing that whatever came next could completely change how she viewed her son.
But before Isaiah could reveal the truth, his phone suddenly began ringing.
He looked at the screen and immediately froze.
The caller was Brooke.
Kyra noticed Isaiah's reaction and became even more suspicious. Why would Brooke call him after everything that had just happened?
“Isaiah... your mother needs to know what really happened.”
