Libby Disappears, and Terry Is Forced to Face the Past
A Terrifying Visit
Terry was sitting quietly when Libby's mother suddenly arrived at his door. Her face looked exhausted, and the fear in her eyes immediately made Terry realize that something serious had happened.
She barely sat down before telling him that Libby had disappeared after suffering what appeared to be a serious medical emergency. No one knew exactly where she was, and nobody had been able to contact her.
Terry stared at her in silence. The news was shocking, but his reaction was colder than Libby's mother expected.
Terry's Bitter Response
Terry admitted that the situation was terrible, but he also reminded Libby's mother that Libby had walked away from him and chosen to be with Katie.
Libby's mother immediately became emotional. She refused to let Terry blame Libby for everything that had happened.
She explained that Libby had not found the happiness she expected with Katie either. According to her, Libby had even tried to meet Katie's mother and hoped that they might accept her.
Instead, the situation became even worse. Katie's family rejected Libby, and Katie eventually told her that she could no longer stay at the house. Libby was left feeling completely alone and confused.
The Search Begins
After hearing the entire story, Terry finally realized that this was bigger than an old relationship. Someone was missing, and every minute mattered.
He grabbed his jacket and told Libby's mother that he would help her search. Together, they began visiting hospitals, police stations, and other places where Libby might have been taken.
At every location, they asked the same questions. Had anyone seen Libby? Had she been brought there? Was there any record under her name?
Hours passed without an answer.
The silence became increasingly frightening. Libby's mother kept looking at her phone, hoping that somehow Libby would call.
An Unexpected Lead
Eventually, a police officer gave them a lead. A woman matching Libby's description had reportedly been taken to a medical facility, but the information was incomplete.
Terry and Libby's mother immediately followed the lead.
Their search eventually brought them to a cold-storage morgue where unidentified deceased people were temporarily kept while authorities worked to establish their identities.
The atmosphere was quiet and unsettling. The metallic doors and freezing air made Libby's mother visibly nervous.
A staff member checked the records and slowly walked toward one of the storage compartments.
The Door Opens
Libby's mother stood beside Terry, trembling. She desperately hoped that the person inside would not be Libby.
The compartment was opened, and a covered figure could be seen inside. Cold mist drifted through the room.
Libby's mother stepped forward and looked at the identification information. Her expression suddenly changed.
Tears filled her eyes.
Terry stood frozen behind her. For the first time since the search began, the seriousness of the situation truly hit him.
Libby's mother began crying as the staff member prepared to confirm the identity.
But Something Doesn't Add Up
Just before the identity could be confirmed, an officer suddenly entered the room with an urgent message.
He told them that there was a major problem with the records.
The person inside might not be Libby at all.
Terry looked at Libby's mother in disbelief. After everything they had been through, they were suddenly facing an even bigger mystery.
