Genesis’s endless demands push Kiki to her breaking point—but one unexpected confession leaves the entire family stunned.
1. A House Full of Resentment
For weeks, Kiki had felt as though her home had turned into a place where she was expected to work without ever being appreciated. While Genesis relaxed on the couch, scrolling through her phone or criticizing the state of the house, Kiki was left to handle one chore after another. The more she cleaned, the more Genesis seemed to find something else that needed to be done.
Genesis defended her demands with the same argument every time. Since Kiki was not attending school or college and was not taking her studies seriously, Genesis believed that keeping the house in order should be Kiki’s responsibility. To Genesis, it was a reasonable arrangement. To Kiki, it felt like punishment.
Kiki tried to swallow her frustration, but every lecture made her feel more like a servant than a member of the family. She believed Genesis was taking advantage of her circumstances, expecting obedience while offering little understanding in return. What made the situation even more upsetting was that Genesis herself was still recovering from a recent medical procedure and needed rest—but Kiki felt that this did not justify treating her unfairly.
2. The Moment Kiki Loses Her Temper
One morning, after spending hours complaining about the housework, Genesis finally fell asleep on the couch. The living room became quiet, and for a moment, Kiki stood watching her. All the irritation she had been holding inside seemed to rise at once.
“You love giving me orders, don’t you?” Kiki muttered under her breath. “Let’s see how you like being disturbed when you’re trying to rest.”
Acting on her anger, Kiki stormed toward the couch and began stomping her feet and making a loud racket. Then she climbed onto the cushions and started bouncing around, shaking the couch enough to wake Genesis abruptly. It was a reckless decision, and Kiki’s frustration had pushed her into behavior that could easily make the situation worse.
Instead of stopping immediately, Kiki continued yelling that she was tired of being ordered around every day. She wanted Genesis to understand how trapped and overlooked she felt, but her outburst only turned the argument into a chaotic confrontation.
3. Terry Rushes In
The shouting brought Terry rushing into the living room. He froze for a second at the sight of Genesis struggling to sit up while Kiki stood on the couch, arguing at the top of her lungs. Realizing the situation could escalate further, Terry stepped between them and guided Kiki away from Genesis.
“That’s enough, Kiki!” he said firmly. “She’s your mother, and she’s still recovering. Her health isn’t completely back to normal. She needs rest, and you can’t treat her like this.”
Terry expected Kiki to calm down, but his words only opened the floodgates. Kiki turned toward him, her face tense with anger and hurt. She felt that everyone was focused on Genesis’s needs while nobody was listening to her side of the story.
4. Kiki Finally Speaks Her Mind
Her words echoed through the room. For the first time, Kiki was no longer hiding her resentment behind silence and angry looks. She was saying aloud what she had been thinking for weeks: she felt exploited, dismissed, and judged by someone who should have tried to understand her.
Terry looked from Kiki to Genesis, unsure what to say. He knew Genesis needed time to recover, but he could also see that the conflict had grown far beyond a simple disagreement about chores. Kiki’s behavior had crossed a line, yet the anger behind it had clearly been building for a long time.
Genesis stared at Kiki in stunned silence. The room, which had been filled with shouting only moments earlier, suddenly became painfully quiet. Nobody moved. Nobody spoke. Then Genesis slowly sat up, her expression changing from outrage to something much harder to read.
5. Genesis Reveals a Hidden Truth
“Fine, Kiki,” Genesis said at last, her voice quieter than before. “If you truly believe I’ve been treating you unfairly, then perhaps it’s time you learned the real reason I’ve been making you do all this.”
Kiki’s anger gave way to confusion. She had expected another lecture, another order, or another argument about responsibility. She had not expected Genesis to speak as though there were something deeper behind the household rules.
Genesis held her gaze. “Because there’s something about your future that you don’t know yet.”
Terry turned toward Genesis in disbelief. Even he seemed unaware of what she was about to reveal. Kiki stood still, suddenly wondering whether all those arguments had been hiding a truth much bigger than chores, school, or the tension inside their home.
Only moments earlier, Kiki had wanted Genesis to feel even a fraction of the frustration she felt every day. Now she was waiting for answers, unsure whether the truth would bring relief—or tear the family apart even further.
