A DRAMATIC SUSPENSE STORY

Libby's Final Warning: The Secret Behind Genesiz's Lost Baby

ONE GIFT. ONE AMBULANCE. ONE TERRIFYING QUESTION.

1. A Gift That Reopened Every Wound

The house had not felt like home since Genesiz lost her baby. The tiny clothes she had bought remained folded in a drawer, and Terry could barely look at the empty space where a crib was supposed to stand. They spoke quietly, as though a loud voice might shatter what little peace they had left.

Then Libby arrived carrying a baby gift.

She stood on their doorstep with a bright smile and a neatly wrapped box. Genesiz stared at it, unable to believe what she was seeing. Whether Libby truly had not heard about the miscarriage or had come to hurt them deliberately, her timing was devastating.

“I thought you two could use something special,” Libby said.

Genesiz whispered, “You know what happened to our baby.”

2. The Argument That Went Too Far

Libby opened the box. Inside were tiny socks, a soft blanket, and a toy bear. The sight brought back every hope Genesiz had struggled to put away.

“Why would you bring this here?” she demanded.

Libby lifted her shoulders. “It was supposed to be a nice gesture.”

But there was something about her expression that made Genesiz feel mocked. When Libby added a careless joke about what the baby might have looked like, Genesiz finally lost control.

The confrontation turned physical. Terry rushed between them, pleading for Genesiz to stop. Libby stumbled toward the entrance, shaken and hurt, while Genesiz cried that nobody had the right to turn her loss into entertainment.

Terry separated them and called for medical help. Outside, Libby sank to the ground, and the distant sound of an ambulance siren grew louder.

3. A Warning Beside the Ambulance

Genesiz stood in the doorway, watching the paramedics assist Libby. Anger had drained from her face, leaving exhaustion and worry behind.

Just as the ambulance crew prepared to leave, Libby called out.

“Terry! Do you really believe what happened to your baby was just an accident?”

Terry froze.

“What are you talking about?” he asked.

Libby turned her eyes toward Genesiz. “If you knew the whole truth, your entire world would change.”

“Then tell me the truth right now!” Terry shouted.

But Libby only shook her head. The ambulance doors closed, and its flashing lights disappeared down the street.

4. The Question Terry Could Not Ignore

For several moments, neither Terry nor Genesiz moved.

“She was trying to hurt us again,” Genesiz finally said. “That is what she does.”

Terry wanted to agree. He had seen the gift, heard the cruel remarks, and watched the argument unfold. Yet Libby's warning sounded strangely specific.

“Why would she say it wasn't an accident?” he asked.

Genesiz looked away. “Because she knows we're vulnerable.”

Terry followed her inside. On the living-room floor lay the opened gift box. He picked up the little bear, then noticed a folded envelope beneath the tissue paper.

There was no name on the front.

5. The Envelope Inside the Gift

Inside was a photocopied hospital appointment slip and a handwritten message: Ask who visited the hospital before you arrived.

Terry read the sentence twice.

“Genesiz, did anyone come to see you that day?”

She frowned. “Nurses came in and out. I was frightened. I don't remember every face.”

“What about Libby?”

“No. At least, I never saw her.”

Terry studied the paper. There was no signature, no proof it was genuine, and no explanation of what the message meant. Someone could easily have planted it to create suspicion.

Still, Genesiz seemed more disturbed by the question than by the paper itself.

6. A Phone Call Changes Everything

Later that evening, Terry's phone rang. The caller ID showed an unfamiliar number.

“Is this Terry?” a woman asked.

“Who is speaking?”

“I work at the hospital. Someone has been asking questions about your family's records. I can't discuss private medical information, but I thought you should know.”

Before Terry could ask who, the call ended.

He stared at the screen. Was it a genuine warning, another part of Libby's scheme, or someone trying to exploit their grief?

Genesiz sat beside him. “Promise me you won't believe a stranger over me.”

“I don't,” Terry answered. “But I need to understand why this is happening.”

7. The Final Message

Near midnight, another message arrived, this time from Libby.

Check the date on the paper. Then ask Genesiz what she remembers about that afternoon.

Terry checked. The appointment slip carried a date from the week of their loss. His stomach tightened, but he reminded himself that a date alone proved nothing.

He turned to Genesiz. Her eyes filled with tears.

“There is something I never told you,” she said softly.

Terry's heart raced. “What is it?”

Before she could answer, a sharp knock sounded at the front door.

Through the window, Terry saw a familiar yellow handbag resting on the doorstep. Beside it lay another sealed envelope.

Libby was supposed to be at the hospital.

So who had left the bag—and what did they want Terry to discover?
