BROOKE DISCOVERS MARIAH'S SECRET
THE SHOCKING REVELATION
Brooke stood transfixed near the floor-to-ceiling windows of her living room, her eyes fixed on the distant Los Angeles skyline, though she saw none of it. The quiet afternoon hum of the Forrester estate felt suddenly suffocating. Behind her, Hope and Faith stood side by side, their posture tense, their expressions a mixture of grave solemnity and anxious relief.
The secret that had been weighing on them like a heavy iron vault had finally been opened, and the words now hung suspended in the air between them, sharp and irreversible.
"Say that again," Brooke murmured, turning around slowly. Her voice was barely above a whisper, laced with a cold, disbelieving tremor. "Say it one more time."
Hope took a step forward, extending a hand in a gentle, placating gesture. "Mom, please... just sit down first. You need to process this."
"I don't need to sit down, Hope!" Brooke snapped, her usual composed demeanor fracturing. "I need to know if I heard you correctly. Are you telling me that Mariah... that Mariah is pregnant?"
Faith nodded silently. "Yes, Mom. It's true. Mariah took a home pregnancy test, and the result was positive. Clear as day."
THE FATHER IS ISAIAH
Brooke placed a trembling hand over her chest, trying to regulate her breathing. The room seemed to tilt beneath her feet. Mariah was carrying a child. But it wasn't just the fact of the pregnancy that sent a chill running through Brooke's veins; it was the name attached to it.
"And you're telling me..." Brooke hesitated. "You're telling me the father is Isaiah?"
"It's Isaiah, Mom," Hope confirmed, her voice steady despite the emotion shining in her eyes. "There is no one else. It happened when she went to see him."
Brooke walked over to the leather couch and sank into it. Her mind raced back through the timeline, frantically assembling the pieces of a puzzle she hadn't even realized she was holding.
Isaiah—a man who had entered their lives under the guise of loyalty, charm, and unwavering devotion. A man who had built trust with every soft-spoken word and every calculated gesture of support.
To think that he was capable of crossing such a line was beyond anything Brooke had prepared herself for.
HOPE AND FAITH EXPLAIN EVERYTHING
"Start from the beginning," Brooke demanded, her tone sharpening with protective maternal instinct. "Every single detail. How did this happen?"
Faith joined Brooke on the sofa, gently placing her hand over her mother's cold fingers.
"It started weeks ago, Mom. Isaiah reached out to Mariah directly. He invited her over—he insisted that they needed to talk in private, away from everyone else, away from the family and the drama surrounding the company. He made it sound urgent, like it was something vital for her to understand."
"And she went," Brooke said softly, closing her eyes for a brief moment. "She trusted him enough to go alone."
"She did," Hope chimed in. "Mariah thought she was being mature. She thought she was having an adult conversation to clear the air. Isaiah was charming, Mom. He knows exactly what to say to make someone feel heard, to make them feel special and safe."
"When Mariah returned from his place that night," Faith continued, "she was quiet. We noticed it right away, but she brushed it off as exhaustion. She tried to act like everything was normal, going through her daily routine, throwing herself into her work, avoiding any deep conversations with us. But then the weeks started passing."
THE POSITIVE PREGNANCY TEST
Brooke looked up, her blue eyes sharp with focus. "Her cycle?"
"Exactly," Faith said. "Her next month's cycle didn't come. At first, Mariah tried to rationalize it. She told herself it was just stress, that her schedule was crazy, that her body was reacting to all the recent tension. But deep down, she knew."
"She was terrified, Mom," Hope added. "She kept it to herself for as long as she could bear it. But last night, the suspense became too much. She bought a test. Faith and I were there when she took it."
Brooke pictured the scene in her head. "And it was positive?"
"Without a doubt," Faith replied. "Two dark, clear lines. Mariah completely broke down. She kept repeating that her life was ruined, that she had made the biggest mistake of her existence by letting Isaiah into her world."
A heavy silence descended upon the living room. Brooke leaned back, staring up at the ceiling as a storm of emotions surged within her—fury, grief, betrayal, and an overwhelming surge of fierce protectiveness.
BROOKE'S ANGER AND HEARTBREAK
"Isaiah..." Brooke whispered. "How could he do this? After everything we've been through, after the space we gave him in our lives... how could he manipulate Mariah like this? She is so young, so vulnerable beneath that confident exterior!"
"He played her, Mom," Hope said, a trace of anger sharpening her words. "Isaiah knew exactly what he was doing. He used his position, his charm, and her trust to pull her close. And now that this has happened, Mariah is terrified of what comes next."
"Why didn't she come to me herself?" Brooke asked, her voice tinged with hurt. "Why did she send the two of you?"
"Because she feels ashamed, Mom," Faith explained softly, squeezing Brooke's hand. "She thought you would look at her with disappointment, that you would judge her for being so naive. Hope and I had to convince her that keeping this a secret from you would only make things worse."
Brooke looked at her two daughters, seeing the deep care and unity between them. Despite the shock, a wave of gratitude washed over her for how Hope and Faith had stepped up to shield and support Mariah.
BROOKE MAKES A PROMISE
"I could never be disappointed in her for being a victim of deceit," Brooke said firmly, her voice regaining its strength. "Is she foolish for trusting him? Perhaps. But Isaiah is the one who took advantage. Isaiah is the one who crossed a line that can never be uncrossed."
Brooke stood up from the couch, her stance resolute. The initial shock was rapidly giving way to a cold, calculated determination.
"Where is Mariah right now?" Brooke asked.
"She's upstairs in my room," Faith answered. "She's exhausted, Mom. She hasn't slept in two days."
"I'm going up to see her," Brooke said. "She needs to know that she is not alone in this. Whatever happens next, whatever decisions need to be made about her health, her future, and that child... we will make them together as a family."
ISAIAH WILL HAVE TO ANSWER
"What about Isaiah?" Hope inquired, her eyes narrowing. "What are we going to do about him?"
Brooke turned toward the doorway, her expression hardening into a look that left no room for compromise.
"Isaiah thinks he has won a quiet victory. He thinks Mariah will stay silent out of fear and shame, allowing him to walk away scot-free while she carries the burden of his actions. He is severely mistaken."
She paused, taking a deep breath to steady the rage bubbling inside her.
"First, I am going to hold Mariah and let her know that her family is her fortress," Brooke declared softly yet powerfully. "And then... Isaiah will have to answer to me."
Hope and Faith exchanged a look of quiet solidarity. The truth was finally out in the open, breaking the shadow of silence that had hung over the estate.
The storm had arrived, but as Brooke began walking toward the stairs to comfort her daughter, one thing was unmistakably clear: Isaiah had no idea of the reckoning that was coming his way.
