1. A Surprise That Changes Nothing
In the end, the very thing everyone feared began to happen. When Larry and Bethany finally returned home, Charlotte had already prepared a special surprise for him. The idea had come from Bethany, who hoped the thoughtful gesture would bring some warmth back into their relationship. Charlotte hoped the evening would feel like a fresh start.
