For one beautiful moment, Genesis and Terry believed their family had finally found peace. They had no idea danger was already approaching.

1. The Happiest Day of Their Lives

At last, the day Genesis and Terry had dreamed about arrived: their baby boy was finally home. The moment they stepped inside with him, the house seemed warmer and brighter.

Terry lifted the little boy into his arms, smiling at his tiny face. Genesis gently touched the baby's cheek and kissed his forehead. They promised he would always be loved and protected. For the first time in ages, they believed everything might be all right.

They cuddled him, arranged his things, and imagined the memories they would make. Terry took photographs of the baby's first moments at home, while Genesis carefully folded his tiny clothes into a drawer. Every small movement made them smile. They knew parenthood would bring difficult days, but they were ready to face them together. Their happiness seemed complete.

2. Libby's Unexpected Visit

The news soon reached Libby. When she learned the baby was home, she visited with colourful toys and gifts, pretending she only wanted to welcome him.

Genesis felt uncomfortable. She had never trusted Libby. But Libby smiled, offered the gifts, and spoke sweetly about the adorable baby.

Genesis tried to stay polite, but tension grew. She felt Libby was crossing a boundary; Libby believed she had every right to be involved in the child's life. The baby stirred in his blanket as the women's voices became sharper. Terry noticed the change in the atmosphere and gently asked everyone to calm down, hoping the visit would end peacefully.

3. The Toys That Started a War

Then Genesis's anger burst out. She grabbed the toys Libby had brought and began smashing them. Moments later, the colourful gifts lay broken across the floor.

Libby stared in disbelief, then turned furious. She demanded to know why Genesis had done it. Genesis snapped that she would not allow Libby to interfere in her family or get close to her child.

The argument grew louder. Terry tried to calm them, but Libby left humiliated and furious. Genesis thought she had made her position clear.

Yet Libby did not see the incident as the end of an argument. She saw it as a reason to take revenge.

4. A Dangerous Plan Takes Shape

As the baby's stepmother, Libby resented seeing Genesis enjoy the family life she wanted. The broken toys replayed in her mind, deepening her anger.

She decided to make Genesis suffer and destroy the happiness in that home. In her mind, Genesis had taken away her place in the family and then humiliated her in front of everyone. She kept her plan secret and waited for the right opportunity. Each time she pictured the broken gifts, her determination hardened. She told herself that Genesis would soon understand what it felt like to lose something precious.

Unaware of Libby's growing anger, Genesis and Terry focused on preparing the nursery.

5. The Empty Room

The next day, Genesis and Terry arranged the nursery. She straightened the bedding while Terry organised the toys. They chatted about how lovely the room would look.

Then Genesis suddenly stopped. A worrying thought crossed her mind: the baby was in the other room, and she had not checked on him for a little while.

“Terry, where's the baby?” she asked, her voice suddenly tense.

Terry saw the fear in her face. They hurried toward the baby's room. Genesis called the baby's name as she ran, expecting to hear his little sounds from the crib. Instead, the house seemed strangely quiet. Her hands began to shake, and a terrible thought entered her mind before she could push it away.

At the doorway, their hearts stopped. The crib was empty and the blanket disturbed. Then Genesis saw movement near the open door.

It was Libby. She was holding the baby boy tightly and rushing toward the exit.

6. The Terrifying Escape

“LIBBY! STOP! GIVE ME MY BABY!” Genesis screamed, racing after her. Happiness had turned to terror.

Terry rushed to block the door, shouting for Libby to stop and return the child. She refused, clutching the baby and pushing forward.

Crying, Genesis begged Libby to stop. Terry made one last attempt to block her, but Libby slipped past and ran outside.

Within seconds, Libby was gone.

Genesis froze, then screamed for help. She could barely breathe as she looked from the empty crib to the open doorway. Terry ran outside after Libby, calling her name and searching the street, while Genesis begged for her child to be returned. She reached for the tiny blanket left behind and clutched it against her chest. Behind them, the lovingly prepared nursery was silent. The little bed was empty.

To be continued…

Will Terry find Libby? What does she intend to do with the baby? And will Genesis ever hold her little boy again? The family's fight has only just begun.
